L&T receives a contract to build a bullet train

L&T's construction arm has been awarded a significant contract for the bullet train project. National High-Speed Rail Corporation has awarded the project to L&T Construction (NHSRCL).

The company announced, "the railways business of L&T Construction has secured a·contract from NHSRCL to construct 116 route km of High-Speed ballastless track works for Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project, popularly referred to as the bullet train project."

This slab track system, once completed, will allow trains to run at speeds of up to 320 kilometre per hour.

India has become the first country in the world to commercially produce bio-bitumen for use in road construction, according to Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. HILT Policy Seen Boosting Telangana Revenue Sharply

The Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation (HILT) Policy is expected to generate around Rs 1.08 billion in revenue for the Telangana state exchequer, according to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu.
