Linxon secures traction power supply contract in Chennai metro phase 2

Chennai metro phase 2, which includes the recently awarded contract, will significantly boost ridership and relieve congestion, particularly in the area of Chennai's burgeoning IT hub. The project's scope includes traction substations, wayside substations, power cables, overhead catenary systems, main auxiliary substations, and supervisory control and data collection systems. Phases 1A and 1B of the Kochi metro were opened in September of this year in the presence of the Chief Minister of Kerala and Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India.
