PM Modi Unveils Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and Pravasi Bharatiya Express

On January 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) convention in Bhubaneswar. As part of the event, he also flagged off the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special tourist train dedicated to the Indian diaspora.

The train, which will embark from Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi, will visit multiple destinations of religious and cultural significance across India over a span of three weeks. The Pravasi Bharatiya Express is an initiative under the Pravasi Teertha Darshan Yojana.

During his address, PM Modi highlighted India’s progress in various sectors, noting the country’s advancements in renewable energy, aviation, electric mobility, metro networks, and bullet train projects. He also emphasised that India is now manufacturing ‘Made in India’ fighter jets and transport aircraft.

India’s Exports Expected to Grow 6 Per Cent This Year

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday stated that India’s exports are expected to grow by around 6 per cent this year, ultimately concluding on a positive note.“India’s exports would grow by around 6 per cent this year compared to the corresponding period last year. Pune Launches Trial of Double-Decker Electric Buses

The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) on Tuesday commenced an eight-day trial of double-decker buses on select routes in Pune.
