PM Modi Unveils Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and Pravasi Bharatiya Express

On January 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) convention in Bhubaneswar. As part of the event, he also flagged off the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special tourist train dedicated to the Indian diaspora.

The train, which will embark from Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi, will visit multiple destinations of religious and cultural significance across India over a span of three weeks. The Pravasi Bharatiya Express is an initiative under the Pravasi Teertha Darshan Yojana.

During his address, PM Modi highlighted India’s progress in various sectors, noting the country’s advancements in renewable energy, aviation, electric mobility, metro networks, and bullet train projects. He also emphasised that India is now manufacturing ‘Made in India’ fighter jets and transport aircraft.
