PMRDA keen to finish Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar metro line III

The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) plans to complete 25% of the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line III by the end of December, with the route expected to be fully operational by April 2025.

According to superintending engineer Rinaz Pathan, the PMRDA has completed 20% of the work for this entirely elevated Metro line. November 25 marks one year since the agreement was signed with the executing agency to begin this work, which is expected to be completed in 40 months. The officials stated that barricading work would be done in stages to avoid inconvenience to the citizens.

According to the Pune Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (PUMTA), work on the proposed double-deck flyover at University Chowk is unlikely to be completed by January 2024.
