Rajiv Dhankher chosen as Delhi Metro Director of Projects & Planning

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has appointed Rajiv Dhankher, an officer from the Indian Railways Service of Engineers (IRSE), as its new Director of Projects and Planning. Dhankher, a 1992 batch IRSE officer, brings three decades of experience in projects, planning, and execution to the role.

He holds a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, a master's degree from IIT Delhi, a post-graduate diploma in management from Gurugram, and an LLB from Delhi University.

Before joining DMRC, Dhankher served as the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) in the Ajmer division of Indian Railways, where he oversaw the commissioning of the Udaipur-Himmat Nagar railway section. He also worked as Chief Project Manager for the NCRTC on the Sahibabad-Ghaziabad-Duhai priority section and was involved in the commissioning of the Jammu-Udhampur Rail Link Project. (Source:ET)
