RITES Wins South Africa Locomotive Supply Order

RITES Ltd, an infrastructure, consultancy and engineering firm, on Tuesday said it has secured an order worth Rs 3.16 billion from an international company for the supply of service diesel electric locomotives in South Africa.

The contract highlights RITES’ growing international footprint in railway technology and marks a significant milestone in bilateral rail cooperation between India and South Africa.

According to a regulatory filing with the BSE, the order is scheduled to be executed within one and a half years.

RITES said the project reinforces its capabilities in exporting railway rolling stock and related engineering services to overseas markets.
