Uber Partners With Railways at Ahmedabad and Howrah

Uber has partnered with Indian Railways at Ahmedabad and Howrah stations, marking its first managed operations at railway stations in India. The initiative aims to improve passenger connectivity at major transport hubs and aligns with Uber’s focus on enhancing multimodal mobility.
An Uber official said, “Our collaboration with Indian Railways at Ahmedabad and Howrah is a step forward in strengthening urban mobility infrastructure and ensuring reliable connectivity for millions of travellers. By integrating Uber’s technology with key public transport hubs, we are building a seamless, multimodal transportation ecosystem that simplifies city travel.”
Ahmedabad Railway Station, ranked as India’s seventh largest, currently serves over 120,000 passengers daily, with capacity projected to grow to more than 300,000 by 2053. Howrah Railway Station, the largest in India and a crucial entry point to Eastern India, handles over 1 million passengers daily.
Uber operates from dedicated parking areas directly connected to station infrastructure, ensuring smooth access for riders and drivers. The partnerships are expected to provide Uber drivers with more trip opportunities, enhancing their earning potential in both cities.

DMR Engineering reported its half year results for the financial year ended 31 March 2026 and published full year figures on a standalone basis.
