Vizag Station Footbridge Closed for Construction Work

Visakhapatnam's Waltair Division has temporarily closed the south-end foot overbridge (FOB) adjacent to Gate No. 3 at Visakhapatnam Railway Station. The closure facilitates the extension of the bridge to provide access to Platforms 6, 7 and 8 as part of vital infrastructure upgrades.

Passengers are advised to use the two remaining foot overbridges and station lifts to access platforms during construction. To ensure smooth passenger flow, station staff are on hand to assist and manage crowds, reducing potential inconvenience.

The divisional railway manager is closely overseeing the project, which aims to enhance safety and convenience at one of Visakhapatnam’s busiest transport hubs. The temporary changes will remain in place until the extension is completed, after which full access will be restored.
