India’s Industrial Output Rises 3% in March 2025

India’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) recorded a 3% year-on-year growth in March 2025, according to the Quick Estimates released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI). The overall index stood at 164.8, up from 160.0 in March 2024.Among the key sectors, electricity registered the highest growth at 6.3%, followed by manufacturing at 3.0%, and mining at 0.4%.
