Yeshwantpur Railway Station upgradation to start

The South Western Railway has started work on rebuilding Bengaluru's Yeshwantpur Railway Station. The postponed station upgrade project is now expected to be completed by June 2025.

Girdhari Lal Construction was awarded the contract for the station upgrade on October 18, 2022. The project's total cost is estimated to be Rs. 3.8 billion.

The project's first phase has already begun, and the site office has been constructed. The contract was carried out in EPC mode. When completed, the station will be able to accommodate more than 100,000 passengers per day, up from the current capacity of 60,000.
