Three river linking projects to begin within three months

Nitin Gadkari has reportedly stated that the work on three river linking projects is set to begin within the next three months. The total estimated cost of these projects is Rs 50,000 crore, and it aims to link Tapi and Narmada, Ken and Betwa, and Damanganga and Pinjal rivers. Further reported indicate that meetings will be held with chief ministers to tackle any arising interstate issues within the coming months to ensure that work begins as planned.

The first project to be initiated is known to be the Damanganga-Pinjal interlinking project; all the projects have received necessary clearances and approvals. Accordingly, the Maharashtra and Gujarat chief ministers will meet to iron out any issues that may arise.
