UK-based JC Bamford Excavators started its operations in India in 1979. JCB India is considered among the fastest-growing companies in the Indian earthmoving and construction equipment industry. With three operational world class manufacturing facilities - one in Haryana (the world´s largest backhoe loader plant) and two in Pune - in November this year, JCB inaugurated two more facilities in Jaipur. The opening of the factories comes as JCB celebrates 35 years of manufacturing in India, where it now has five facilities. In India, it offers an extensive range of 26 variants in seven product lines - backhoe loaders, wheeled loaders, excavators, skid steer loaders, telehandlers, compactors and pick-and-carry cranes. The company contributed to 30 per cent of the UK-based company´s global sales last year. The global revenue was $4.1 billion last year and had a presence in 150 countries. For the calendar year 2013, the company reported a turnover of Rs 5,200 crore.
