Gaurs Group, Elematic Sign MoU For Precast Facility

Gaurs Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Elematic India, the Indian arm of Finland-based Elematic Group, to establish a precast manufacturing facility in Noida. The agreement marks a step towards adopting technology-led construction systems across the developer’s residential projects.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Finland’s Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Ambassador Kimmo Lähdevirta. The agreement was formalised between Veshesh Gaur, Director, Gaurs Group; Chander Dutta, Managing Director, Elematic India; and Teppo Voutilainen, CEO, Elematic Oyj, Finland.

Gaurs Group will invest around Rs 1 billion in the first phase to set up the precast manufacturing plant, which will produce slabs, columns, beams and walls. The facility is expected to become operational within six months. The developer has also placed an order with Jindal Elematic, Alwar, for 45,000 modular bathrooms and 10,000 kitchen pods for its ongoing projects.

The investment forms part of the company’s strategy to adopt modern construction technologies aimed at improving execution efficiency and reducing project timelines by around 30 per cent.
