South West Pinnacle Wins Coal Exploration Contracts in Maharashtra, MP

South West Pinnacle has been awarded coal exploration contracts covering locations in the states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The contracts secure the firm a role in assessing coal resources across prospective basins and expand its presence in the western and central regions of India. The awards form part of ongoing efforts to update understanding of domestic coal reserves and to inform future energy planning.

Project activities are expected to include geological surveys, geophysical mapping and targeted drilling to characterise subsurface coal seams. Field teams will conduct sampling and analysis to estimate seam quality, depth and extent, while laboratory work will support resource classification and reporting. The exercises are intended to provide robust data for planners and regulators without pre-empting any future development decisions.

Engagement with state authorities and local communities will be aligned to statutory permitting processes and to address environmental safeguards. The company anticipates coordinating with district administrations to obtain clearances and to plan field operations in a manner that seeks to minimise disruption to local livelihoods. Local hiring and contractor engagement are expected to support regional employment and to build capacity for sustained exploration activity.

The awards follow a renewed focus on resource evaluation nationwide and reflect continued interest from private firms in contributing to national energy assessments. Implementation Status of Jal Jeevan Mission

Since August 2019 the Government has implemented Jal Jeevan Mission to provide assured potable water through household tap connections in rural India.
