SJVN invites bids for 75 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh

SJVN Ltd, a joint venture among the Central Government and the Himachal Pradesh Government, has invited bids for the end-to-end services, including engineering, design, supply erection, testing, and commissioning of a 75 MW solar project at Parasan Solar Park in Uttar Pradesh.

The pre-bid conference will take place on May 31, and the last date to submit the bids is June 11, 2021, and will open the same day.

The successful bidder will have to take responsibility for the comprehensive services and maintenance project for three years.

The bidding arrangement mandates that the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) completion of work should be within 15 months from the assigned date of the letter to the contractor for handing over the land by SJVN. This date will be selected depending on when the Lucknow Solar Power Development Corporation hands over the area for the project.

The EPC merchants listed with SJVN will be eligible to participate in this tender.

The average annual turnover of the bidder in the last three FY closing on March 31 of the previous FY should not be less than Rs 1.125 billion.

Moreover, the bidding document states the net worth of the bidder in two out of the last three FY should be positive.

SJVN recently won a 100 MW solar project in the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd’s auction.

The establishment of the projects will be at the Raghanesda Solar Park in Gujarat (Phase-X). SJVN quoted a tariff of Rs 2.64 per kWh for the 100 MW capacity.

Last year in December, SJVN had floated a notice inviting expressions of interest to enlist EPC to set up 100 MW solar projects in the country.
