NTPC REL Invites Bids For Three-Year O&M At Khavda 4,750 MW Park

NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, has invited online bids for operation and maintenance of four pooling substations at the 4,750 megawatt (MW) Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Bhuj, Gujarat. The tender was issued via the Government e-Marketplace portal under bid number GEM/2026/B/7706808 dated July 7, 2026.

Under the contract the selected contractor will operate and maintain the four pooling substations for three years, or 36 months, from the date of award, with a mobilisation period of seven days. The bidding follows a two-packet system; the bid submission deadline is July 21, 2026 at three pm and technical bids will be opened at three thirty pm, with offers to remain valid for 120 days.

Bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 2 million (mn), payable online by NEFT or RTGS to NREL's designated Axis Bank account or acceptable as a bank guarantee or insurance surety bond. The tender specifies no electronic Performance Bank Guarantee and EMD exemption is limited to Micro and Small Enterprises registered under Udyam, excluding traders and dealers.

Technical qualification requires prior experience in installation and commissioning of a 220 kilovolt or higher substation or the operation and maintenance of such a substation for at least one year in the last seven years. Financial criteria require an average annual turnover of at least Rs 35.6 million (mn) over the previous three financial years and a net worth equal to or greater than paid-up share capital. Participation is restricted to Class-I local suppliers with 100 per cent local content and bidders from countries sharing a land border with India must be registered with the competent authority. Key documents including the Power of Attorney and Integrity Pact are to be submitted in physical form to the Contract Services office in Greater Noida before the bid deadline.
