Sangam India Signs EPC Deal for 27 MWp Solar Plant

Sangam (India) Ltd has signed an engineering, procurement and construction agreement with IB Vogt Solar India Pvt. Ltd for the development of a 27 MWp solar power project in Rajasthan, marking a key step in its renewable energy transition.

The captive solar project will be set up at Village Sangarh in Fatehgarh tehsil of Jaisalmer district. Once commissioned, the plant will supply clean electricity to Sangam India’s operations, reducing dependence on conventional grid power and lowering the company’s carbon footprint.

Under the agreement, IB Vogt Solar India will execute the complete EPC scope of the project. The planned installed capacity is 27 MWp, with a permissible variation of up to ±5 per cent, subject to technical and site conditions.

The project aligns with Sangam India’s strategy to integrate renewable energy into its operations, improve long-term energy cost efficiency and support India’s national objectives for expanding solar power capacity.

Germany-headquartered IB Vogt brings extensive experience in delivering large-scale solar projects in India and overseas. Its involvement is expected to ensure timely execution while meeting quality and performance benchmarks.

The development reflects a broader trend among Indian industrial and manufacturing companies adopting captive solar projects to enhance sustainability, energy security and cost competitiveness.
