SJVN to develop 5,000 MW energy projects in Pune

SJVN has reportedly expressed a keen interest in developing 5,000 MW renewable energy projects in the state of Punjab, as per reports. SJVN will develop the 5,000 MW renewable energy projects through solar projects, canal top solar projects and floating solar projects across the state by way of JV formations and MoUs, among others. The chief minister has assured extending all possible support in the development of solar projects. The project is being developed at the cost of Rs 5.45 billion and will generate 245.28 MU (million units) in the first year. The cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years would be around 5,643.52 MU.
