Vikran Bags Rs 20.35 Billion Solar EPC Order

Mumbai-based Vikran Engineering Limited has received a work order worth Rs 20.35 billion from Onix Renewables Limited, a special purpose vehicle, for the development of 600 MW (AC) solar power projects across multiple locations in Maharashtra.

In a statement, Vikran Engineering said it accepted the order on December 23, 2025 and will execute the project on a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction basis. The scope of work includes end-to-end activities such as design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing and commissioning, along with the supply of key components including solar photovoltaic modules and inverters. The project is expected to be completed within 12 months.

Earlier, Onix Solar had secured a letter of intent from Vikran Engineering to supply Non-DCR TOPCon 620 Wp solar modules for the project. Under this arrangement, Onix Solar received an order valued at Rs 1.49 billion, excluding GST. The scope includes the design, manufacture, factory acceptance testing and supply of 193,550 Non-DCR TOPCon 620 Wp solar modules.

The latest order strengthens Vikran Engineering’s renewable energy portfolio and complements its existing presence in power transmission and distribution, water infrastructure and railway electrification. The company said the win reinforces its focus on scaling up participation in large and complex infrastructure projects while maintaining high standards of execution and delivery.

Commenting on the development, Rakesh Markhedkar, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikran Engineering Limited, said the order marks an important milestone and reflects strong momentum in the company’s renewable energy EPC business. He added that the win strengthens Vikran’s order book and positions the company for sustained growth as it continues to support India’s clean energy transition through timely and reliable infrastructure development.
