Padmanabhan has been chairman of the Governing Council of Business Excellence, Tata Sons, since 2014. From 2008 to 2014, he was executive director, Tata Power. Before that he was executive director, Tata Consultancy Services, from May 1982 to February of 2008.Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has announced that Sanjay Khanna has taken over the additional responsibility as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company.
