BorgWarner Showcases Diverse Propulsion Tech at IAA Mobility

BorgWarner unveiled its latest propulsion technologies at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, highlighting a broad range of solutions for electric, hybrid, and combustion vehicles. The line-up included a new range-extender module, next-generation inverters, eTurbo and eBooster solutions, and advanced thermal management systems designed to improve efficiency and performance.

The range extender pairs with an internal combustion engine to increase electric vehicle range without compromising emissions. BorgWarner’s inverters and power electronics offer higher power density and improved thermal performance, enabling compact and efficient electric drive systems. Meanwhile, its torque management systems provide intelligent control, distributing power to individual wheels for better safety, handling, and efficiency.

Harry Husted, Chief Technology Officer, said the technologies are designed to ensure “optimal performance, efficiency, and integration across a range of vehicle platforms.” The company also showcased high-voltage heaters, integrated thermal modules, and battery eCoolers, which maintain safe operating temperatures across vehicle components while improving energy efficiency.
