Bicholim civic body in Goa issues e-licences for construction purposes

Goa’s Bicholim Municipal Council (BMC) has started processing and issuing e-licenses for construction. While addressing a press conference at Bicholim, Chairperson of BMC, Kundan Falari, chief officer, Kabir Shirgaonkar, said that the municipal corporation has planned to issue online construction licenses.

BMC has become the first municipality in the state to issue online licenses for housing and building construction, Falari said.

Shirgaonkar said that the issuance of the online construction licenses is on a primary level for one BHK house. In the years to come, online licenses will be issued for all construction structures such as buildings while submitting the applications. The issuance of certificates will also be made online.

The online licenses initiative will ensure transparency and reduce the applications processing time, Shirgaonkar added.
