Duravit Unveils Balcoon Bathroom Range By Patricia Urquiola

The Balcoon bathroom range by Patricia Urquiola presents a combination of modern minimalism and timeless elegance rooted in natural tactility. The designer has introduced an earthy terracotta shade called Clay Terra Matt for ceramic objects and the collection also offers White and White Satin Matt as alternatives. The countertop basins pair round and oval forms on a square plinth to create a sculptural focal point that extends beyond function. All ceramic items are supplied with the hygienic, easy to clean DuraShield protective glaze as standard.

An integrated rear panel on the console establishes a distinct spatial dimension and is overlaid by the drawer front with an open shelf beneath. Powder shades such as Ivory and Sand Beige define a soft, natural palette and the handle free aesthetic reinforces the clear design concept. The washing area with its two countertop basins provides ample storage with four large drawers and suits an organised bathroom. A single washing area with an open shelf provides a lighter solution for small rooms.

Patricia Urquiola has designed faucets to match the minimalistic lines of the ceramics and the elliptical handle transitions into the faucet body for a gentle operation. Three surface variants, Chrome, Black Matt and Brushed Stainless Steel, complete the spectrum and support coherent room schemes. With functions such as FreshStart and MinusFlow the faucets contribute to resource conservation and water efficient operation. The range aims to combine aesthetic restraint with practical innovations for everyday use.

The collection includes a wall mounted washbasin inspired by the oval countertop basin and is offered in three sizes to suit different project needs. The floor mounted toilet and bidet maintain clear geometric form for visual harmony in installations. The acrylic built in bathtubs mirror the interplay of two levels with an oval raised edge on an acrylic surface panel and are available in White or Matt White. Duravit, founded in 1817 in Hornberg in the Black Forest, is active in more than 130 countries and aims to be climate neutral by 2045 while seeking to avoid CO2 offsetting.
