Dwarka to benefit from infrastructure investment

Dwarka, about 25 kilometres south-west of Connaught Place (CP), is primarily a residential area with several high-rise apartment complexes. As India assumes the G20 presidency, five key projects will kick-start growth in the region.

Dwarka is set for a major transformation three decades after it was planned as Delhi's third sub-city, bringing to the neighbourhood one of India's largest convention and exhibition spaces, two key highways to ease connectivity and bring Gurugram closer, one of Delhi's largest public parks, and a 50-hectare sports facility with a 30,000-seat stadium.

Dwarka, about 25 kilometres southwest of Connaught Place, is still primarily a residential area, with a large number of high-rise apartment complexes catering to lower- and middle-income groups.
