Rajasthan housing boards earned Rs 23.27 billion

The current Covid situation in the country has been both a curse and a blessing for the Rajasthan government. While most of its departments suffered significant financial losses during the Covid period, the virus assisted the Rajasthan Housing Board in regaining some of its revenue. From just over Rs 100 crore in 2018-19, the housing board has earned a whopping Rs 2,327.90 crore in 2021-22, primarily through the sale of over 16,000 residential units and nearly 3,000 shops across the state. All of these houses were between 12 and 15 years old.
