Bentley Systems Acquires Talon Aerolytics, Pointivo Tech

Bentley Systems has acquired Talon Aerolytics and the technology and technical expertise of Pointivo, strengthening its Asset Analytics portfolio. The transactions were completed in December, with financial details not disclosed.

Bentley said the acquisitions significantly expand its ability to apply digital twins and artificial intelligence to improve asset performance and resilience across infrastructure sectors. Its Asset Analytics offerings include OpenTower iQ for telecommunications towers and Blyncsy for road networks, with the new capabilities extending support for global 5G deployments and grid modernisation.

Talon provides solutions for site surveys, inspections and asset digitisation across wireless telecom, broadband and electric utilities, combining workflow automation, digital twins and AI. Pointivo’s technologies add horizontal capabilities such as drone data processing, AI-powered damage detection and geolocation.

James Lee, chief operating officer at Bentley Systems, said the acquisitions represent a major investment in scaling Bentley Asset Analytics and enabling continuous inspections across infrastructure sectors. Werner Andre, chief financial officer, added that the deals reinforce Bentley’s capital allocation priority in Asset Analytics, supporting long-term double-digit growth in recurring revenues.

Dechert LLP acted as legal advisor to Bentley on the transactions.
