Delhi Government presents 788,000 mn budget

On March 22, the Delhi administration delivered its 788,000-million FY 2023–2024 budget to the Delhi Assembly, placing a particular emphasis on the city's road system. 31,260 million were set aside for roads and flyovers.

Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot mentioned that this year's G-20 conference will be held in Delhi during his statement on the budget. Hence, there has been a focus on improving public transportation, road infrastructure, and rubbish removal.

Road Infrastructure

Over a ten-year period, he claimed, 194,000 million dollars would be spent on upgrading the city's roads.

According to the minister, 31,260 million dollars have been set aside for building new roads and enhancing the ones that already exist, and an additional 35,000 million dollars will be used to upgrade public transportation in the fiscal years 2023–2024.

The budget for this year has the theme of "clean, beautiful, and modern Delhi.

The city of Delhi will be home to 26 new flyovers and underpasses when they are finished. In conjunction with DMRC, it will also build three double-decker flyovers, Gahlot stated in his Budget speech.
