Iveco Appoints Curti as Powertrain President

Iveco Group N.V. announced that Sylvain Blaise, President of the Powertrain Business Unit, will leave the company on 29 June 2026 to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of Manitou Group. Blaise has been associated with the company for 24 years and has held several leadership positions, including heading FPT since the creation of the independent Iveco Group in 2022. He will continue in his current role until the end of June to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

The company also confirmed that Simone Curti will assume the role of President, Powertrain Business Unit, from 30 June 2026. He will join the Senior Leadership Team and report directly to Olof Persson, Chief Executive Officer, Iveco Group.

Curti holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino and joined the company in 2004. Since then, he has served in roles of increasing responsibility across the Truck and Powertrain Business Units. He currently leads Truck Business Unit commercial operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

His experience spans engineering, quality, industrial platforms, customer management and commercial operations, giving him broad expertise across the transport and powertrain sectors.

Olof Persson thanked Blaise for his contribution, stating that under his leadership FPT advanced innovation, technology development, efficiency and resilience. He added that Curti’s broad experience and strong customer and partner relationships position him well to lead the next phase of growth for the Powertrain business.
