Jharkhand Seeks ?1.36 Lakh Crore Dues

The Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, has raised concerns over unpaid dues of ?1.36 lakh crore owed by coal companies to the state. In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Soren highlighted that this massive outstanding amount is significantly affecting Jharkhand's development. The bulk of these dues arises from coal mining activities, with the state demanding compensation for land acquisition, royalty payments, and other levies.
