J&K MLA Launches Multi Million Projects To Boost Ramnagar

Jammu, March three, 2026 — BJP MLA Dr Sunil Bhardwaj inaugurated and launched a series of infrastructure and public welfare projects across the Ramnagar constituency in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. The projects, collectively described as multi-million (mn) Rs interventions, were presented as part of a push to accelerate grassroots development. Officials framed the initiative as aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building Atmanirbhar villages. The inauguration included a mix of completed works and new projects slated for phased execution.

The initiatives are intended to strengthen rural connectivity, improve education infrastructure and enhance the tourism potential of the hilly constituency. The programme was said to include upgrades to road links, renovations at learning centres and improvements to basic amenities that support visitor access. Local infrastructure works were presented as measures to reduce travel time and improve access to schools and health facilities. Local officials said the emphasis was on durable construction and on improving last mile access.

An official handout stated that Dr Bhardwaj reaffirmed his commitment to infrastructure led growth and the socio economic upliftment of remote and hilly areas. The release emphasised that the projects would support inclusive development by creating short term employment during construction and by improving long term access to markets and services. The MLA was described as focused on strengthening local institutions and on delivering tangible benefits at the grassroots.

The handout did not disclose detailed financial breakdowns and directed readers to party or government channels for further information. Authorities indicated that monitoring mechanisms would be put in place to oversee project implementation and ensure timely completion. Stakeholders in the constituency were expected to see incremental improvements in connectivity, education outcomes and visitor footfall as works progress. Elected representatives and department staff were reported to coordinate schedules and to address logistical challenges.
