Shyam Metalics Certified As Great Place To Work In India

Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has been certified as a Great Place To Work in India for the period February 2026 to February 2027 following an independent assessment by the Great Place To Work organisation. The recognition reflected detailed employee feedback and a comprehensive evaluation of workplace practices across manufacturing locations and corporate offices. The company said the award validated sustained focus on trust, transparency, safety and employee development.

The assessment covered leadership credibility, fairness, respect, pride in work and team camaraderie and the certification indicated strong employee confidence in leadership and inclusive policies. Shyam Metalics has invested in structured learning and leadership development programmes, enhanced workplace safety measures and open communication platforms to support workforce growth. The company described its culture as one that balanced operational discipline with a sense of belonging and performance excellence.

Director Sheetij Agarwal said the certification was a proud moment and reflected the role of employees across plants, operations and offices in driving daily excellence. He added that as capacities expanded and market presence strengthened, the company would continue investing in employee well being, professional development and long term engagement. The remarks framed workplace culture as an evolving journey rather than a milestone and pledged ongoing initiatives to support safety, growth and accountability.

The company reported an aggregate installed metal capacity of 15.13 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and an aggregated captive power capacity of 467 megawatt (MW). It stated that it was one of the largest producers of ferro alloys by installed capacity and a leading player in pellet and sponge iron capacity in India. The company noted a market capitalisation of more than Rs 247.5 bn and said this recognition reinforced its position as a responsible corporate citizen and an employer of choice in the metals and energy sector.
