The Jammu and Kashmir government has notified the City Gas Distribution Policy 2026 to expand access to cleaner fuel, modernise energy infrastructure and support industrial growth across the union territory. India’s imports of Venezuelan crude are set to reach their highest level in almost seven years in October, as steep discounts attract refiners while Russian supplies become costlier. Deliveries are expected to more than double to about 465,000 barrels a day, from 196,000 barrels a day in September, according to an estimate by Kpler. Odisha’s eastern coast is emerging as a maritime investment hub, with a pipeline exceeding Rs. 500 bn across port expansion, new port development, shipbuilding and clean-energy infrastructure. The programme is centred on Paradip Port, the proposed Bahuda port in Ganjam district and a shipbuilding cluster in Kendrapara district.
