Haryana chief secretary examines project worth Rs 1.51 bn

The Public Works Department of Haryana has finished widening the Karnal Meerut road, NH 709-A to 6/4 A laneing. Its construction cost more than Rs 1.51 billion, and it will soon be inaugurated.

This information was provided during the Committee of Administrative Secretaries meeting, which was held to review projects costing more than Rs 1 billion and was presided over by Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal. The meeting covered 39 projects totaling more than Rs 1 billion from 5 departments.

The Chief Secretary stated that one of Chief Minister Monohar Lal Khattar's priorities is the swift completion of major projects. The administrative secretary should make sure to finish the work on these projects for the public good in a timely manner while keeping in mind the established milestones. By March of next year, Hisar Airport will be operational.

It was reported that phase II of the Swarna Jayanti Integrated Aviation Hub's operational building, MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) and cargo operation projects are also moving along quickly. It was stated that the aircraft wouldn't need to be transported over long distances for repair thanks to the knowledge of MRO in Hisar.
