Noida Airport Misses Third Deadline; New Date to Be Announced

The Noida International Greenfield Airport in Jewar is set to miss its third deadline of May fifteen, as announced by the Uttar Pradesh government. A new timeline for operational readiness will be declared soon, according to Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh.

Previously, the project missed two deadlines — September twenty-nine, two thousand twenty-four, and April twenty-five, two thousand twenty-five. Singh reviewed the ongoing construction work during a field inspection of the terminal building and associated infrastructure. A high-level meeting was held with officials from Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, Tata Projects Limited and Noida International Airport Limited.

The chief secretary emphasised that this project is a key priority for the state and must be monitored regularly. He instructed the officials to avoid any compromise in construction quality and to expedite the remaining work.

Jewar airport is expected to significantly boost the state’s economy and generate new employment and business opportunities. Updates on progress regarding the runway, cargo terminals, and other facilities were also shared during the meeting.

Senior government officials, including district magistrate Manish Kumar Verma and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority CEO Arun Vir Singh, were present at the review.
