SBI Chennai office earns IGBC Near Net Zero Energy certification

State Bank of India’s (SBI) Local Head Office in Chennai has received the Indian Green Building Council’s (IGBC) Near Net Zero Energy (Operations) certification. The certification was announced at the IGBC Green Tamil Nadu Summit 2026.The building has an Energy Performance Index (EPI) of 130 kWh/sq m/year, below the baseline EPI of 137 kWh/sq m/year.
