HPF Manufacturing Inc is developing Caterpillar machines known as Rail-X Excavators for local and national markets. These giant self-propelled excavators can drive on and off railroad tracks in less than five minutes. They have a computer-controlled operation from the cab and can be fitted with a variety of buckets, thumbs, rakes and rotating attachments. Many of these machines also have steel reinforcements to protect their cabs and a variety of boom modifications and extensions.
