Ceigall India Rises After Securing LoA For Rs 2,740.8 mn Project

Shares of Ceigall India rose after the company, jointly with Rajinder Infrastructure, received a letter of acceptance from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for a road construction project, and the stock moved to Rs 313.60 following the announcement and market reaction. The LoA confirms the award to the joint venture and was filed with public disclosures, prompting investor attention to the companys project pipeline and order inflows.

The contract covers construction of a 37.57-km road on the Bile-Migging section of National Highway 913 in Arunachal Pradesh under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode. The stretch carries a construction period of 48 months and a five-year post-construction maintenance period, outlining delivery and lifecycle obligations for the contractor. The project has an aggregate bid cost of Rs 2,740.8 million (mn), with Ceigall holding a 70 per cent stake in the joint venture and an effective share of about Rs 1,918.5 mn.

Ceigall India is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company engaged in the development of highways, expressways, bridges, flyovers, railway overbridges, tunnels and runways, and it executes projects across states in India. The company works under both EPC as well as Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) formats, pursuing government and quasi-government road assignments and focusing on timely completion and contractual compliance. Its project mix and joint venture arrangements support capacity to bid for medium and large sized road contracts.

In the first quarter of FY27 the group reported a consolidated net profit increase of 15.27 per cent to Rs 613 million (mn) on a 15.68 per cent rise in revenue from operations to Rs 9,696.4 million (mn) compared with the same quarter a year earlier. The new order adds to the companys order book, contributes to its execution pipeline across regions and broadens the scope of ongoing works that underpin revenues and cash flows. Observers note that sustained project wins are central to maintaining scale and operational momentum for infrastructure contractors.
