Four girders come up at Nahur road overbridge

Commutes from the Eastern Express Highway to Mulund via Link Road will become easier from May onwards, as the Central Railway completed the installation of four girders for the Nahur Road Overbridge on Sunday (ROB).

According to a senior engineer working on the project, the four girders that have been installed on the CSMT side of the existing old bridge will be side pushed within the next 10 days. He also stated that the construction work and slabs will be completed and that a two-lane side bridge could be open to the public by April-May.

Four more girders are also planned to come up on the Kalyan side of the present bridge which would ease the second side bridge. Once the two-sided bridge is completed, the existing bridge will be destroyed and rebuilt. On either side of the bridge, a pedestrian path will be erected.
