Karnataka Segment of Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway Unofficially Opened

The 68-km stretch of the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway passing through Karnataka has been in use by approximately 1,600 motorists daily for the past two weeks. This stretch is part of the total 71 km of the 260-km expressway that lies in Karnataka. The 68 km, which runs from Hoskote to KGF, is toll-free as the entire four-lane highway is yet to be fully operational.

The remaining construction on the Karnataka side of the expressway is expected to be completed in the coming months, though an official inauguration will only take place once the road reaches Chennai, according to the official.
