Pune to begin construction on the ring road

The 32 km section of the ring road between Chakan and Nagar Road will begin construction under the jurisdiction of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) after the monsoon season. Six national roads cross the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR), including the Mumbai-Pune (NH-48), Pune-Nashik (NH-60), Pune-Ahmednagar (NH-753F), Pune-Solapur (NH-65), Pune-Saswad-Palkhi Marg (NH-965), and Pune-Bengaluru (NH-965) (NH-48), which would be connected by this ring road. The road will be built incrementally. The eight-lane, 170 km long Pune ring road would have a 120 km/hr posted speed restriction for moving traffic. A rough estimate of the price is Rs 174.12 billion.
