The Rs.5.8 billion Vasishta bridge project in Andhra Pradesh will connect Rameswaram in Konaseema district with Rajulanka in Narasapur Rural mandal. The revised plan includes a 14-kilometre approach road from NH-216 at Gudimellanka, a major bridge across the Vasishta Godavari and a sevenkilometre link to NH-216 at Seetharampuram. Four contractors have submitted bids, with technical evaluation underway. Construction will begin after contract award, and completion is targeted by 2029, improving cross-delta connectivity and regional trade across twin Godavari districts.
