The RRTS is a part of the 17 km long priority area of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. The corridor is supposed to be commissioned in March 2023.

The alignment of the RRTS corridor arriving from Sarai Kale in Delhi passes through Delhi Metro's Red Line bridge and an existing flyover before this station. The lifts will have the capacity to hold stretchers too, which is highly beneficial during medical emergencies. And CCTVs would monitor the station 24/7.

RRTS stations will be equipped with state-of-the-art modern facilities such as passenger information display boards and system maps.

At the concourse level, there will be ticket vending machines (TVMs), snack vending machines, fire fighting systems, washrooms, etc.

The traffic integration in and throughout the RRTS station will be designed to create additional drive-in space for all types of vehicles. Separate pick-up and drop-off zones to ensure congestion-free traffic flow. Solar panels will be placed as well on the roof-top of the station for securing green energy. The station’s infrastructure will also improve the experience of passengers and encourage the public to use public transport crucial regional.
