Indian Railways is undergoing a significant transformation to upgrade the organization's infrastructure and improve the passenger experience.

A fresh plan for updating train stations, called Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, was just unveiled. The Amrit Bharat Station programme has designated 1,275 railway stations, including border locations, for development.
