Aarvee-GSL secures Chennai-Mysuru HSR’s LiDAR survey

Aarvee Associates – GSL Associates JV emerged as the lowest bidder to prepare the final alignment design through an aerial LiDAR survey for the detailed project report (DPR) of the 435 km Chennai-Mysuru High Speed Rail (HSR) project in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

LiDAR survey is a helicopter-based laser surveying technique for rapid and accurate collection of topographic data, and similar surveying works commenced in December for the 865 km Delhi-Varanasi High Speed Rail (DVHSR bullet train) corridor’s alignment.

India’s National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) invited bids for this service in January with a completion period of 150 days and an estimated cost of Rs 10.20 crore. Technical bids were opened in February to reveal four bidders.

The nine stations proposed on the Chennai-Mysuru line are planned to be built at Chennai, Poonamallee, Arakkonam, Chittor, Bangarapet, Bengaluru, Channapatna, Mandya and Mysuru.

Financial bids for the Chennai–Mysuru HSR line’s social impact assessment (SIA) works will be opened soon.
