India, Bangladesh sign agreements to boost railway cooperation

To strengthen their bilateral intergovernmental railroad cooperation, India and Bangladesh signed two memorandums of understanding. The multi-sectoral scoping Indian Railways group visited Bangladesh in April 2022, and the Indian Minister of Railways and the Bangladesh Railway Minister recently met. These Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), which were exchanged and signed during the visit of the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to India, cover the training of Bangladesh Railway employees at the Indian Railways Training Institute as well as collaboration of FOIS and other IT systems for Bangladesh Railway.
