Kolkata Metro to Extend Service on New Garia to Airport Corridor

Kolkata Metro authorities are gearing up to extend metro services on the New Garia to Airport corridor soon, aiming to enhance connectivity and ease commuting for residents. This expansion is set to benefit commuters by reducing travel time and improving access to key areas across the city.

The extension project, a pivotal part of Kolkata's metro infrastructure development, aims to cater to the growing transportation needs of the metropolitan area. It is expected to alleviate congestion on existing transport routes and provide a reliable alternative for daily commuters.

The upcoming extension underscores Kolkata Metro's commitment to expanding its network and improving public transit facilities. By connecting New Garia with the airport, the metro system aims to offer a seamless travel experience, particularly for passengers needing efficient airport access.

Authorities have been actively working on the project's implementation, focusing on infrastructure development and operational readiness. The extension is anticipated to enhance urban mobility, promote sustainable transportation solutions, and support Kolkata's economic growth trajectory.

As the extension progresses towards completion, stakeholders and residents are anticipating the positive impact on local mobility patterns and overall commuter experience. The expansion aligns with broader urban development goals, aiming to make Kolkata Metro a cornerstone of the city's public transportation infrastructure.
