LHB coaches introduced for Hubballi Express

South Western Railway announced the conversion of the rakes of Train No. 07355/07356 Hubballi ? Rameswaram ? Hubballi Express and Train No. 12777/12778 Hubballi ? Kochuveli ? Hubballi Express to Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches. According to a railway statement, Train No. 07355 would start running with LHB coaches from May 25, and its pairing train (No. 07356) from May 26. Similarly, Train No. 12777 would run with LHB coaches from May 29, and its pairing train (No. 12778) from May 30. The weekly trains would now include two AC 2-tier coaches, three AC 3-tier coaches, three AC 3-tier economy coaches, seven sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches, and two luggage-cum-brake vans.

Southern Railway expressed appreciation for Travelling Ticket Inspector Sengottai, T Karthikeyan, who, while on duty on Train No. 20683 Tambaram ? Sengottai Express on Friday, found and returned a misplaced diamond to its owner. The diamond was lost in one of the coaches and was handed back to the passenger at Sengottai.
