Magellanic Cloud Subsidiary Secures Rs 69.29 mn Railway CCTV Contract

Provigil Surveillance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Magellanic Cloud Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance from South Central Railway's Vijayawada Division for a contract aggregating Rs 69.29 mn.

The project covers the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of advanced IP-based CCTV surveillance systems at 15 stations in the division, including major junctions such as Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Nellore, Kakinada and Gudur. The scope also includes associated signalling and telecommunication infrastructure, network video recorders, optical fibre cabling and related civil, electrical and networking works. The order reflects comprehensive delivery requirements spanning equipment, cabling, earthing and surge protection systems.

The contract is to be executed over 12 months and will involve integration with centralised Video Management System platforms and advanced analytics. The company said work aligns with its strategic focus on expanding AI-enabled video surveillance, intelligent VMS platforms and broader public safety solutions for transport infrastructure. Deployment is expected to strengthen passenger safety, improve situational awareness and enable faster incident response through automated alerts and analytics. These capabilities are intended to support data driven operational decision making across rail operations.

The firm noted that the award follows another recent surveillance order from the same division and described it as an endorsement of its execution capabilities. The managing director stated that repeat orders reinforce the company’s strategy to build intelligent security ecosystems that combine hardware, AI driven analytics and centralised management. Management indicated that the company aims to deliver proactive monitoring, enhanced operational visibility and sustainable long term value for customers and shareholders. The company said it remains focused on expanding its footprint across railway, metro and other critical public infrastructure projects.

The disclosure confirmed that none of the promoter group or group companies has any interest in the awarding entity and that the order is not a related party transaction. Details required under the SEBI circular have been annexed and will be published on the company website. The company has asked the exchanges to take the information on record and will proceed with project mobilisation in accordance with the contract timeline.
