Magellanic Cloud Subsidiary Wins Rs 62.52 Million Railway Contract

Provigil Surveillance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Magellanic Cloud Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance from South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division for a contract aggregating to Rs 62.52 million (mn). The order covers provision of surveillance systems at KVR, GVN and Rajahmundry stations for Godavari Pushkaram-2027 and replacement and augmentation of video surveillance systems across the Vijayawada Division. The scope includes installation of video recording systems in relay rooms and station master rooms.

The contract requires supply, testing, commissioning and integration of an IP-based video surveillance system with CCTV cameras, Network Video Recorders and networking infrastructure including optical fibre connectivity. It also covers UPS systems, earthing and surge protection to support resilient operations. System integration will interface with signalling and telecommunication infrastructure and conclude with formal acceptance by the railway authority. The stipulated execution period for delivery is nine months.

Magellanic Cloud said the order strengthens its presence in the railway surveillance and security infrastructure segment and demonstrates its capability to execute large-scale projects for Indian Railways. The company noted sustained order inflows from public sector undertakings and described the contract as reflecting growing demand for intelligent, reliable and scalable security solutions across critical public assets. The filing to exchanges stated that none of the promoters or group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the contract and that the transaction is not a related party transaction.

Company leadership indicated the award reflects continued confidence in its surveillance capabilities and said the business has seen strong and consistent order inflows, particularly from government-owned entities. Management added that the contract positions the company to capitalise on opportunities from railway modernisation and heightened focus on public safety while reinforcing its leadership in AI-enabled surveillance and mission-critical security solutions. The company will proceed with mobilisation and detailed project planning and will update stakeholders through the required disclosures and its website.
