Metro Project between HUDA City Centre and Cyber City in Gurgaon

PM Gati Shakti Projects include a 28.5-kilometre-long metro line connecting HUDA City Centre to Cyber City in Gurgaon. This project has already been approved and is nearing completion with the Government of India. Sanjeev Kaushal, the chief secretary and Chairman of the Haryana Metro Rail Corporation, stated this while reviewing the performance of Mass Rapid Transit Gurgaon and the progress of ongoing Metro projects in Haryana.

In his budget speech this year, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who also serves as Finance Minister, announced three projects, including a Metro link from Rezangla Chowk to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi via Dwarka Sector-21. (8.4 KM), Metro link from Southern Peripheral Road to Panchgaon via Global City and Manesar (35 KM), Extension of the Bahadurgarh Metro upto Asaudha (8.2 KM) to connect with the Haryana Orbital Rail Network and Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway are at various stages to implementation, said the Chief Secretary. He also stated that the other project, from Rezangla Chowk to Dwarka, Sector-21, to connect IGI Airport, has been sent to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India (MoHUA) for approval and is also being actively considered by MoHUA.

He also stated that Metro connectivity between Faridabad and Gurgaon will be considered on a double-decker viaduct in collaboration with NHAI. He stated that the NCT-Delhi Government has been asked to provide financial commitments for approving DPR from the Sarai Kale Khan (SKK)-Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror (SNB) and Sarai Kale Khan (SKK)-Panipat RRTS corridors. A meeting will be held soon in this regard.

These projects will provide an efficient and environment-friendly transport system to the daily commuters as well as the general public. It will also give impetus to the commercial development in Gurgaon and other areas of state of Haryana.
